Introduction

Photoracer is a plugin for Wordpress

This plugin permits to create a photo contest from wordpress admin panel.

Subscribed users of the blog are allowed to upload photos and both users and visitors can take part to the contest by voting the photos.

A race has

• a name
• an upload period
• a vote period
• maximum number of photo per user

When you create a photorace, you create a Wordpress page where there are organized all the necessary links to the race application.

• check human voter with captcha, the voter is identified with cookie

The admin panel

Once you have install photoracer plugin, you can go in "Settings" tag and see the subtab "Photo Racer".

If you click "Photo Racer" you'll see this:

You can see the list of all the races. and the form to create a race

Parameter are:

• raceid :  it's  the number which identify the race in the  photoracer system.
• postid :  it's the number  which identiry the page in Wordpress system.
• from: the date from when start the race
• to: the date untill when people could vote
• upload_untill: the date untill when subcribed users could upload photo
• path : the dirname under photoracer root where photo, thumbnail and captcha images are stored
• name: the name you set to the race
• maxphotoxuser: the maximum number of photo upload that a subscribed user could do
• numphoto : the corrent number of photos uploaded

in the list, by

clicking on "postid" you go to the generated Wordpress page

clicking on "from" you can modify the from date

clicking on "to" you can modify the to date

clicking on "refresh pagina d'entrata" you refresh the Wordpress page generated

clicking on "contenuti" you browse the contents of the race, look who are the owner and exclude photos from the race

 The race

Create a Race means insert one row in the table photoracer_admin and create a directory for the contents  and create a Wordpress new page where the content is the photoracer navigation bar and last uploaded photos. With the photoracer navigation bar you can browse the galleries of the most voted, most viewed and last uploaded photos. Clicking on the photo you go to the photoracer vote page.

All the photos and thumbnails are stored in the dir.

All the photos are index in the table photoracer.

All the votes are stored in the table photoracer_votes
